Vampire.

Creepy, right?

This was my vampire look before the blood. I'm really not a huge Halloween fan - but dressing up as a vampire was kinda fun, I'm not gonna lie.

Happy Halloween, Pumpkins!

Love always.

Cozy and casual.

Guys, it's getting cold out. I have a severe disdain for what the cold brings. {snow! *gasp* *cry*} And due to this extreme chill in the air every morning when I wake up I reallyyyyyy don't want to get out of bed. I'm all snuggled in a warm slumber - seriously, who wants to leave that?!

Not. This. Girl.

BUT - with the cold comes new style opportunities {always have to find the good things, right? ;-)}.

So, when I finally pull myself out of bed all I want to do is throw on a cozy sweater, leggings, and boots. The more snuggly I can be in the morning, the better.

Here are a few of my favorite looks..

Photos came from hereherehereherehere, and here

I love them all. Cozy. Cozy. Cozy.

Happy Sunday, sweets!

Love always.

Embracing what it's about.

I've posted this little note before, I know. {I'm like an elephant, I always remember... You've heard that, right? Or am I crazy?! ;-)}

But it's perfect right now.

I have always thought that it's uber important to make sure people know how much you appreciate them. I believe the simple words "thank you" can make someone's day that much better. It's good to know your actions are noticed, or that you've made a difference to someone. It's heartwarming

Last November I made it a point to post on my Facebook something I was thankful for everyday.

And since it's almost that time of year again - month of Thanksgiving - and instead of just enjoying the delicious food and gatherings that come from this season I have decided to embrace what it's really about: Taking a moment and being thankful for the things I have in this life.

I urge you to as well. It's all too often we take the things around us for granted; I don't think it's too much effort to take a step back and appreciate them. Even on your roughest day - it could be much, much worse.

On that note - happy Friday, lovers! Hope you have a FABULOUS Halloween weekend! {I'm headed to a costume party tonight! Eeeek! I'll post lots of pictures, don't worry!}

Are you dressing up for Halloween? What are you going as?!

Love always.

2 months. 60 days. 1440 hours.

That's all the time we have until the holidays... can you believe it? I feel so old when I think about how quickly time flies these days. Remember when we were younger and our parents would always say things like "I can't believe they're getting so big already?" or "Time really does fly when you get old."

THEY WERE RIGHT!

Who'd have thought?! Parents - being right?! No way! I mean, all the time! ;)

But, all joking aside - it's time to get thinking about the holiday season. And I couldn't be happier! Christmas shopping, decorating, parties, cookies, what's not to love?? {Aside from the snow and cold, yucky weather.}

Here's a sneak peek at my dear santa list this year...

What's on your Dear Santa list this year??

Have a great day, pumpkins!

What are you doing with your time?

I thought this was a good thought to start the last week of October with...

Happy Monday, pretties!

She's at it again. Bananas.

Rachel Zoe has done it again - not only is she a flawless stylist, a glowing new mother, but she's also now making quite a name for herself as a fashion designer. No one knows fashion and fit like this woman does. Her first two collections were spot on, inspired by Parisian glamour and London street style. And her latest collection for Resort '12 is nothing short of amazing. The collection is very bohemian chic; pulling inspiration from the 60s and 70s - bo-ho mixed with the perfect amount of edge.

The long flowy dresses make me long for white sand beaches, clear waters, and a vacation just oozing with ease and elegance. Um, yes please.

Rachel Zoe Resort '12 Collection. {Perfection}

 I love this look. I can't wait to translate it into everyday wear for my own wardrobe.

 This gorgeous long sleeved dress is one of my favorites. I want.

This is my favorite. So clean, fresh, and edgy. I. Die.

I will absolutely be rocking this look this fall. Cozy, classy, easy.

What's your favorite piece? Are you a Rachel Zoe fan?

Happy Monday, Dolls.

Love always.

Words of Wisdom.

As I'm posting this I realize that the last quote I posted was about the past - gives me a kinda bad rap that I'm trying to get over something, huh?

Well, actually - for the first time in a long time - I don't think I am. I think I've just learned from it and have finally moved on from it, from it all. And that's saying a lot to be honest. As a girl {or guy} but I speak from a girls perspective - I think we tend to wrap ourselves up in the past and can't see much beyond it. We blame the next guy for the last ones mistakes, etc.  Lord himself only knows how guilty I am of this... but once you finally make it through the ugly... it's. so. much. better.

I can finally look back on this, that, and the other and know what I learned - what I didn't - what I would do all over again - and what I wouldn't.

I think maybe this is what they're talking about when people mention growing up... Huh?! Who knew! ;)

Have a good one, kittens!

Love always.

Where Country Grows.

I know, I know - not everyone is a country music fan... and I completely get that.  BUT I stumbled upon this video and if you grew up in the country it's one of those songs that you find yourself nodding your head to because you can picture it so clearly. It sticks with you and makes you long for those days. And if you aren't familiar with growing up country - it almost makes you wish you had.

This chic has a voice that's slightly reminiscent of Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland. I dig it. And I urge you to give her a listen.

Have a wonderful hump day, pumpkins!

I do. Crystal and Justin. 10.1.11

I don't know how we are already almost two weeks into October. Time is seriously flying this month. I have been to two weddings in the past two weekends. I'm almost wedding'd out... but, I'm a girl and we kinda love weddings so I've enjoyed them.

Last Saturday, Crystal and Justin got hitched. It was a beautiful ceremony and I was so glad I could be a part of it. Justin has been one of my best friends and part of my family for years {He and my brother are childhood best bff's} and Crystal sweetly told me that day that she was so happy to finally have a sister-in-law. {Not by blood - but, by choice.} I couldn't be happier for them and I hope their marriage brings them much love and happiness throughout the years.

Here are a few pictures from that day. {I was a grooms-gal - just in case you wondered ;)}

The bridal party.

 Our toast to the happy couple. {We toasted with hot apple pie.}

Their first dance. {Somehow this is the only picture I have of them together. #fail}

Justin and my brother. {Best friends.}

Curt and I.

The groom and I.

We all sang "Friends in Low Places" it was one of those moments you'll always remember. #hadtobethere

The bride and I.

My family.

Best friends. {Groom and best man.}

The toast. It was emotional.

And that was wedding round 1. What's with October and weddings??? It's crazy - I think I'll choose a different month when the time rolls around around for me. {hahahahaha}

Have a wonderful Tuesday, loves.

Love always.

Wedding.

Remember, I'm weddinging it today!

One of my best friends is getting hitched today, I've known him for what seems to be my entire life {he's my bro's bestest friend} so I've grown up with this kid. And through out the years we have become like family. {I'd go on and be sappy, but he, like my brother, won't read this - and well, they aren't the sappy types. Boys.} But, I love him and I'm so excited that I get to share in this day with him and his fiance.

Isn't this picture too funny! This was my 22 bday {so 6 years ago!}.

Hope he has a beautiful day and an even more beautiful marriage!

Congratulations Justin and Crystal!

Have a wonderful weekend, pretties!

Love always.
