Photo{s} of the day. Day: way far behind.

 Afternoon snack from a very sweet client. Yum!

Sparkly heels I may be wearing to an event on Saturday!

I have absolutely failed at this photo a day thing. I take pictures {lots of them} on my phone but I always fail to upload them.

Learning the ropes.

I've recently began learning about photography, and have taken a great interest in it. I couldn't have a better teacher/mentor/friend to be learning from {Amy of Amy Clark Studios}. Amy's very esteemed in the photography world here in Columbus and I'm lucky to work with and learn from her.

This past weekend I borrowed her old Nikon and started playing around with it. It's like learning a new language, but I really enjoy it. My family and friends enjoy making fun of me and the random things I snap photos of... But hey, why not???

Take a lil peek of my randoms this weekend...

Mac - my momma's kitty.

The view from my parents front door.

 Me being silly in the mirror.

 My reflection in the front door.

How my brother, Hollie and I spent out Saturday evening.

Emmy.

Nothing special but I'm loving it. Don't fret, you will see plenty more of my trials and errors of the photography world.

What have you done that's new to you this year??

Happy Thursday, loves.

Love always.

Photo{s} of the day. Day 1.

I'm joining a few of my friends on their quest to post a picture of their life everyday on their blog or medium of choice. I think this is a great idea... So I jumped aboard (you should too)!

The first photo is the new organization of my crafty space and my roommates cookie space.

The second photo is a vintage tin I found today while thrifting... I'm in love with it.

Golden Globes: Red Carpet {almost} Hits.

I didn't watch the red carpet or the Golden Globes {I was busy organizing my crafty space!} but I did manage to check out the photos after the fact. And I must say, I was disappointed. A lot of the dresses didn't seem to fit well, the color wasn't flattering, or it was just a very tired style.

However, I found six lovely ladies who hit the mark... or at least got close to it. {IMO}

 Maria Menonous. Not many people could pull off such a bright yellow, sequined dress. But she nails it and she kept it classy with a very Breakfast at Tiffany's inspired updo.

Kate Beckinsale. Nude was a hot trend this year and not many got it right, but I think there are few things that don't look good on this woman. Gorgeous.

Heidi Klum. So, I don't love this dress. It fits ok, it's kind of boring, could easily blend in the background... but her accessorizing is spot on. The turquoise statement necklace is fabulous. She looks youthful.

 Reese Witherspoon. I like this. Again, don't love it. But I like her in red and strapless... but I really wish the top fit better. And as much as I love messy hair... I think hers could have been done better.

Julie Bowen. I LOVE this dress. I don't like it on her. Had she had a session or two with a spray tan, I think this would been perfect. But the color matches her skin, it washes her out. However, I do love the retro curls with this gown.

Jenna Dewan. MY. FAVORITE. She looks beautiful. Perfectly accessorized, sexy silhouette, gorgeous shade of jade green...stunning.

Whose dresses did you love? Hate?

Have a fabulous Monday, lovers.

Love always.

Spring Fashion Preview. {Salvatore Ferragamo}

The final campaign that I fell in love with was Salvatore Ferragamo's Spring '12. It's sexy, the beach as it's setting, and oozing with vibrant print and color. I adore this. And c'mon Gisele is gorgeous. Nicely done. {IMO}

So, I'm ready for Spring... are you??

Happy Thursday, loves.

Spring Preview. {Valentino}

This line is SO different in comparison to the Mulberry line yesterday. But Valentino doesn't disappoint this season. {not that he EVER does} I love the colors in this campaign. A line composed of neutrals and red... it doesn't get much more timeless. And the Victorian influence on the shape of the dresses just adds to the story this line is creating. In addition to the the contrast between the decaying buildings and the elegant dresses... this campaign is stunning. {In my opinion}

{the front dress is my favorite. In white it would make the most elegant wedding gown.}

Tomorrow is the final installment of my favorite ad campaigns for spring.

Have a good hump day, kittens!

Spring Preview. {Mulberry}

I know... we have barely had any winter weather {at least here in Ohio} but guys, I'm already so very ready for Spring fashion. I think that's why I love this industry so much. It's constantly changing. There's never time to get bored. The build up to each new season is always exciting for us fashion lovers. And when I caught a glimpse of the Spring '12 lines... I fell in love. All over again.

The Mulberry Spring '12 ad campaign is adorable. I want every piece of this line. The neutrals combined with cotton candy colors; nothing quite says spring like that combination. {and I'm swooning for the wedges} I love the carefree ease. I could absolutely see myself wearing pieces like this throughout spring. {I wish it would have the pretty Mulberry logo on the tag... but alas, #brokefashiongirl} I think another element that really adds to the campaign is the over-exaggerated backdrop, it gives it a very playful vibe.

Come back tomorrow to see a preview of Valentino's Spring '12 line.

Happy Tuesday, dolls.

Love always.

Book Worm and a birthday.

I'm trying to find the motivation to read again. Do you find yourself going through phases where you read a lot then read nothing for weeks? {nope? Just me?} It's so annoying though, I have this list of books that I'm dying to read but can't find the energy to pick them up. #lazy

I need to finish Catching Fire {the second in the Hunger Games trilogy}. After I finish those I'm going to start the Hush, Hush trilogy... anyone read it? Thoughts?{I'm really getting into young adult sci-fi stuff. Yes, I'm a huge dork and a child all wrapped into one ;)}.  I also REALLYYY want to read Stephen King's Bag of Bones. I've never read any of his stuff, but this one intrigued me. And lastly I'm dying to read Nicholas Sparks new one, Best of Me. I have read every book he has ever written and never EVER been disappointed.

What's on your reading list?

And I want to say Happy Happy Birthday to Hollie {my brothers girlfriend} I'm so glad she has became a part of our family and I have loved every minute us becoming friends. I can't wait for many more crazy, fun times together!

Happy Wednesday, Kittens.

Love always.

Happy Birthday to you!

Today is one of dearest friends birthday {Amy...pop onto her twitter and wish her a good one!} - we met almost 4 years ago when I began working for her and her family. Who would have known that we would grow into such amazing friends..and that her family would be like a second family to me. We are together more than most {happens when you work together AND are friends outside of it!} and it's almost gotten to the point where we don't even have to speak; we just know what each other are thinking.

It's been such a fun, crazy, silly ride the past 4 years. Vacations, concerts, night outs, night ins, road tripping with the girls, you name it we've done it and loved every minute of it...

Here's a lil trip down memory lane...

p.s. these aren't in any specific order.

I hope you have the happiest of birthday's, Love. You deserve it. Here's to this being the best year yet and lots more memories to come!

And anyone else celebrating a birthday today {pssst, RYAN!} HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY birthday to you too!

Love always.
