Spring Fashion Preview. {Salvatore Ferragamo}

The final campaign that I fell in love with was Salvatore Ferragamo's Spring '12. It's sexy, the beach as it's setting, and oozing with vibrant print and color. I adore this. And c'mon Gisele is gorgeous. Nicely done. {IMO}

So, I'm ready for Spring... are you??

Happy Thursday, loves.

Spring Preview. {Valentino}

This line is SO different in comparison to the Mulberry line yesterday. But Valentino doesn't disappoint this season. {not that he EVER does} I love the colors in this campaign. A line composed of neutrals and red... it doesn't get much more timeless. And the Victorian influence on the shape of the dresses just adds to the story this line is creating. In addition to the the contrast between the decaying buildings and the elegant dresses... this campaign is stunning. {In my opinion}

{the front dress is my favorite. In white it would make the most elegant wedding gown.}

Tomorrow is the final installment of my favorite ad campaigns for spring.

Have a good hump day, kittens!

Spring Preview. {Mulberry}

I know... we have barely had any winter weather {at least here in Ohio} but guys, I'm already so very ready for Spring fashion. I think that's why I love this industry so much. It's constantly changing. There's never time to get bored. The build up to each new season is always exciting for us fashion lovers. And when I caught a glimpse of the Spring '12 lines... I fell in love. All over again.

The Mulberry Spring '12 ad campaign is adorable. I want every piece of this line. The neutrals combined with cotton candy colors; nothing quite says spring like that combination. {and I'm swooning for the wedges} I love the carefree ease. I could absolutely see myself wearing pieces like this throughout spring. {I wish it would have the pretty Mulberry logo on the tag... but alas, #brokefashiongirl} I think another element that really adds to the campaign is the over-exaggerated backdrop, it gives it a very playful vibe.

Come back tomorrow to see a preview of Valentino's Spring '12 line.

Happy Tuesday, dolls.

What I wore {Easter Sunday}.

bow {walmart}
earrings {forever 21}
dress {vintage}

It was a rainy Easter Sunday...but that didn't stop me from throwing on a dress and espadrilles for our family dinner. I could live in these shoes {no, they are NOT comfortable.} but they are so cute! This dress is vintage and I've had it for ages and haven't worn it. I think the next time I wear it I'll belt it, but I was running late this morning and thus forgot a belt. The dress is so comfy... maybe one of the most comfortable dresses I own.

What did you wear on Easter Sunday??

Have a fabulous Monday!

Love always.

Windows open. Breeze blowing.

I'm sitting here with the windows open, the breeze blowing, listening to the Zac Brown Band {shush, don't judge me}, enjoying this beautiful 76 degree day, and I think it's safe to say that spring may finally be here. I know, I know... we are in Ohio, it could very well start snowing by morning {in which case I'm packing my suitcase and peacing out of this state} but... I'm going to be hopeful and say it's here to stay! {YAYY!! Doing a happy dance!!}

I'm so beyond ready for bonfires, dresses, sandals, dinners on the patio, talking walks, running outside, birthday season, MY birthday {feel free to begin thinking about my presents...hehe just playin'...kinda;)}, memorial day, the beginning of summer, windows open... you get the idea right? I'll stop now.

Ok, getting back to the point...I know I have been talking about spring fashion since well... last spring, probably. {if you haven't realized this yet, here is one fun fact about myself... I hate winter.} But I have really been inspired by all the color out this spring. It's giving me the "go spring clothes shopping itch" - have you ever gotten that? It's bad... real bad... So in order to soothe the itch I did a little cyber window shopping... and I'm dying for everything coral this season...

Here's a little peek of all my fun coral finds...
{also check out my friend Kori over at Blonde Episodes for her take on this fabulous spring color}

I want to drink coffee out of this mug... I think it would just taste even better.

 {heatherberry}
I think I'd wear these every day.

{modcloth}
Are you swooning yet? I know I am. I seriously could have gone on and on about this beautiful hue, BUT... I didn't want to bore you to tears... or for you to get COD {coral over dose} and run out to the mall and buy anything and everything in this color... we have to save some for everyone... ;)

What's your favorite color this spring??

Have a fabulous Monday, loves. I do hope the weather is great whereever you are this week!

Love always.

Saturday morning.

As I'm lying in bed doing my usual check up on the world I came across Ruche's new designer. And I am dying!!!!! I want, need, love, have to have this dress/jacket combo.

I think I'd pair it with different shoes... I'm not completely sold on the socks and heels combo yet. Maybe a pair of neutral wedges and a rosette headband...

I have my dear friend's wedding to attend in a couple weeks and I think this may be the perfect ensemble!

What do you think?

Happy Saturday, lovelies!

Love always.

What I'm wearing {I need to do laundry}

Please excuse my poor photogenic qualities. But I did like what I was wearing...

earrings - vintage circa 1985
cardigan - old school AE
dress - JcPenney last spring
leggings - a swap from Missy
flats - target

I need to do laundry. All my staple clothes that I usually wear are dirty... so in the midst of a splitting headache this morning... this is what I threw on. I never thought I'd wear white leggings. Ever. But, I do like them under dresses {I would never wear them as I wear my black ones - with everything!}. They brought a little bit of spring to the outfit. Honestly, this lil ensemble was like wearing sweats but looking chic doing it. it was so comfy. Just more proof that you can still look cute {in my humble opinion} and be super comfy.

Happy Thursday, Dolls.

Love always.

Here Kitty, Kitty...

Animal prints of all kinds are HUGE for spring.

 The animal print trend dates back many decades. If worn correctly I do think these prints can become as classic as the little black dress or a pair of great fitting jeans.

The items below are a few of my favorites.
All from the fabulous online boutique Lulu*s.

So will you let your inner animal out?
Will we be seeing you rocking some animal print pieces this spring??

Have a wonderful Tuesday, Pretties!

Love Always.

Dolce & Gabbana

As long as I have been interested in fashion {which has been a long time...} I have had a love affair with Dolce & Gabbana.

Everything about them embodies my favorite aspects of style. Lace. Leopard print. Edgy. Girlie. Vintage inspired silhouettes. Timeless colors and styles. I have never not been in love.

And this ad campaign for Spring '11 is no different... I'm dying, so in love with it.

What do you think? Do you love it? Hate it? Who's your favorite designer??

Enjoy your Sunday, loves.

Love always.

Oh my Saturday!

Oh Saturday! It was a nice, chill, productive day. Missy {my roommate} and I went out and about downtown. Just wondered around and window shopped!

This is what we wore...

Me: Scarf {made by me}

White tank {Ruehl from years ago}

Blue check shirt {Old Navy on clearance}

Leggings {Walmart}

Boots {Kohl's on clearance and from years ago}

Missy: Cardigan {JC Penneys}

Dress {Gabe's}

Tights {Target}

Flats {Gabe's}

This is who I spent my day with...

After Missy and I were out and about all day, I met up with Laura, AJ, and Bub. We went to dinner and the Funny Bone {we saw Bob Marley and he was hysterical!}

What we ate all day...

We tried out Press Grill in the short north for lunch and it was delicious! I had an OYO {Ohio distilled vodka} and cranberry and we ordered the white pizza. So, so, so good... if you haven't tried it... you need to!

Where we went all day...

We were going to check out the boutique reduction sale but when we got there the line was wrapped around the block and it was cold out. So we didn't go... from what I've heard we didn't miss too much. Then we went and checked out On Paper in the short north. It's a stationary store and it's so cute! I got a piece of Paris wrapping paper that I'm going to frame and put in my room. Yay! We checked out a bakery that had lots of yum yums but nothing that sounded great at the time... so I resisted {shockingly!}.

So that was my Saturday... How was yours?

I've had a pretty productive Sunday as well. I'm going to work on some sewing tonight, I have some alterations to do, another duvet cover, and a couple scarves to make.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Love always.

Who says neutrals have to be boring??

Not me! I think an assortment of great neutral and nude pieces in one's wardrobe allows so many mix and match options. You can pair any of these pieces with absolutely any other color {even other neutral shades}. I think the tshirt {3} would be adorable with a bright blue skirt and flats for a day out shopping and running errands. Or the lace dress {13} with a pair of bright heels or wedges would be perfect for a date night. These pieces act as perfect blank canvases.

1. the sweater -- mauve in a little closer top from ModCloth. $64.99.
2. the earrings -- bronze shadow earrings from Designs by Mandi. $17.00 (Mandi is a friend of mine who's boutique has some fabulous jewelry. I LOVE my ring from her! Check her out on twitter too @designsbymandi}
3. the tshirt -- aerie printed t from Aerie. $17.50.
4. the romper -- cremini tasting romper from ModCloth. $34.99.
5. the scarf -- desert crossing scarf from Anthropologie. $138.00.
6. the heels -- rocket dog "oak" t-strap heels from Ruche. $56.99.
7. the skirt -- macadamia skirt from ModCloth. $39.99.
8. the headband -- the lo from milarosedesigns on Etsy. $42.00.
9. the flats -- astor canvas stretch flat from Ann Taylor. $128.00.
10. the cardigan -- kiss and pointelle cardigan in smooch from ModCloth. $42.99.
11. the swimsuit -- drawn to the heart maillot from Anthropologie. $138.00.
12. the pants -- neutral grounds khaki tailor pants from Ruche. $38.99.
13. the dress -- kimchi blue lace dress from Urban Outfitters. $68.00.

I hope this gives you some ideas on all the neutral items you can mix into your wardrobe. Pieces like this are very classic and timeless. They won't go out of style and you will be able to wear them so many different ways.

Happy Wednesday!

Love always,
me

The Mondays.

I have a serious case of them. I'm sleepy. I still need to do laundry. Our drain is broken so we can't do dishes. I'm still trying to figure out whats going on with my car. And I need some caffeine. Ugh.

But enough complaining. Spring is on its way this week. Yayyyy! I'm so insanely happy about this. Which means spring fashion (I just did a little happy dance!), walks in the park, running outdoors, cookouts, and MY BIRTHDAY (I know, I know, my mom and brother's birthdays are first. But still...)!!!! I do believe this should be observed for an entire month. The entire month of May I drive my friends and family insane with it... but they have learned to accept it and have fun with it! Yayy for the bestest (or most tolerant) people in my life!

How's your Monday treating you? Did it start off well?
If you can could you please bring me some Starbucks??

Have a good day loves!!

Love always,
me
